This dish provides the classic comfort of a baked pasta casserole with improved portion control and faster cook times. These rolls deliver a perfectly balanced bite of melted cheese and tangy tomato sauce in every single serving, making them perfect for stress-free meal prep.
Ingredients
12 lasagna noodles
15 oz ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
0.5 cup parmesan cheese, grated
24 oz marinara sauce, pork-free
1 large egg
1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
Boil the lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente and drain well.
Lay noodles flat on parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan, egg, and oregano in a mixing bowl.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce across the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
Spread two tablespoons of cheese mixture over each noodle and roll into a spiral.
Place rolls seam-side down in the baking dish.
Top with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Notes
Ensure all marinara sauce used is certified pork-free. These rolls freeze exceptionally well; simply bake them straight from the freezer for a quick future meal.
