Description

A flavorful fusion of Philly cheesesteak and sloppy joes, featuring tender beef, caramelized onions, melted cheese, and crispy buns. Easy to make, messy, and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Ground Beef (Lean), 1 lb (450g)
Sliced White Onions, 1 large onion
Finely Diced Bell Peppers, 1 green pepper
Cheese (Mild Cheddar or American), 6 slices
Crushed Tomatoes, 1/2 cup
Garlic Powder, 1/2 tsp
Oregano, 1/4 tsp
Vegetable Oil, 1 tbsp
Whole Wheat or Soft Buns, 6

Instructions

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Pan-fry ground beef until browned, breaking into small pieces
Add sliced onions and peppers; sauté until onions are caramelized
Stir in garlic powder, oregano, and crushed tomatoes
Place 1-2 cheese slices into the pan with beef mixture, letting them melt
Toast buns in a skillet or oven until lightly golden
Divide beef-cheese mixture into buns and serve immediately

Notes

Use 80/20 lean beef for juiciness
Rearrange cheese slices between sandwiches if needed
Adjust seasoning intensity with added spices
Buns can be substituted with lettuce wraps if preferred
