Description

Mini Gougères Bites are light and airy French cheese puffs made with choux pastry, Gruyère, and Parmesan. These elegant bite-sized appetizers are crispy outside and soft inside, perfect for brunch or entertaining.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Boil water, milk, butter, and salt.
  3. Add flour and stir until dough forms a ball.
  4. Cool slightly and add eggs one at a time.
  5. Mix in cheeses and seasoning.
  6. Spoon small mounds onto baking sheet.
  7. Bake 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden.

Notes

Do not open oven early to prevent collapsing. Use room temperature eggs. Reheat before serving for best texture.
