Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef (85/15 lean ratio)
1 box lasagna noodles (no-boil or traditional)
32 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
24 oz mozzarella cheese, freshly shredded
48 oz marinara sauce
1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 large eggs
1 tbsp dried oregano
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked.
Carefully drain excess fat from the skillet.
Stir in the marinara sauce and dried oregano, then simmer the mixture for 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, 1 cup of the mozzarella, the parmesan, and the beaten eggs until well incorporated.
Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Place a layer of noodles over the sauce to cover the surface.
Apply a generous spread of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
Repeat the layers of meat sauce, noodles, and cheese until all ingredients are used.
Top with remaining mozzarella and bake for 45-60 minutes until bubbling and golden.
Notes
Allow the lasagna to rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing to ensure the layers set properly. Use fresh herbs like basil or parsley for a garnish if desired.
