Description
Juicy, flavorful homemade ground beef burger patties made with simple ingredients and a perfect blend of spices. Ideal for grilling or pan-frying, these easy-to-make patties deliver a classic American barbecue experience without any fillers or preservatives.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef (85% lean, 15% fat)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (no alcohol)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Mix the ingredients using your hands until just combined; avoid overmixing to maintain tenderness.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and gently shape each into a patty, about 1/2-inch thick.
Using a fork, gently press the edges to form a border to prevent the patties from spreading while cooking.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is achieved. Add cheese near the end of cooking if desired.
Let the patties rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, use a charcoal grill.
Serve the patties on buns with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mustard.
Store leftover cooked patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
