Description

This Goat Cheese and Pear Salad brings together crisp greens, sweet juicy pears, creamy goat cheese, and crunchy toasted nuts, all finished with a delicate honey balsamic dressing. It’s light, fresh, and beautifully balanced, perfect for a quick lunch or an elegant side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • 150g goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the salad greens thoroughly.
  2. Slice the pears thinly and remove the core.
  3. Place greens in a large bowl and add pear slices.
  4. Sprinkle crumbled goat cheese over the salad.
  5. Add toasted nuts for crunch.
  6. Whisk olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  7. Drizzle dressing over the salad just before serving.
  8. Toss gently and serve immediately.

Notes

Use firm but ripe pears for the best texture. You can substitute walnuts with pecans or almonds. Keep dressing separate until serving to maintain freshness. Add grilled chicken if you want a more filling meal.
