Description
This Garlic Focaccia Bread is soft, fluffy, and infused with olive oil and fresh garlic. Baked until golden and crisp on the outside, this Mediterranean-style bread is perfect for soups, salads, sandwiches, or dipping.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy, about 5–10 minutes.
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix to form dough.
- Knead dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
- Transfer dough to well-oiled baking pan and stretch gently. Rest 20–30 minutes.
- Press deep dimples into dough. Mix garlic with olive oil and drizzle on top. Sprinkle herbs and sea salt.
- Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use high-quality olive oil for best flavor. Do not rush the rising time. Store at room temperature for 2 days or freeze sliced for up to 2 months.
