Description

A fusion of crispy garlic bread, melted cheese, and juicy hot dogs in a handheld American classic. The garlic butter enhances both the meat and cheese for a rich, savory-sweet bite with a perfect balance of crunch and gooeyness.

Ingredients

Hot Dogs
Sourdough Buns
Unsalted Butter, softened
Minced Garlic
Shredded Cheddar
Celtic Sea Salt

Instructions

In a small bowl, mix 4 tbsp softened butter with 4 cloves minced garlic, 1 tsp Celtic Sea Salt, and a pinch of black pepper until smooth.
Lightly spray a skillet with nonstick spray.Toast sourdough buns cut-side-down over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side, pressing with a fork to flatten.
Meanwhile, gently cook 4 hot dog links in the same pan without pricking to retain juices.
Spread garlic butter between each bun and top with shredded cheese. Press each hot dog into the filled buns and return to the pan to fully melt the cheese before serving.

Notes

Use a cast-iron skillet for even heat distribution and better browning.
Apply garlic butter directly to the pan before the buns for optimal flavor.
Warm the garlic butter mixture before using to activate aromatics.
Add tomato or pickle slices for acidity.
Avoid undercooking buns by checking pan heat first and toasting evenly.
