- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (plus more for topping)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix into a sticky dough.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Stretch dough into oiled pan and press dimples with fingers.
- Press cherry tomatoes into dough. Sprinkle oregano and sea salt. Drizzle olive oil.
- Let rise 20–30 minutes while oven preheats to 200°C (390°F).
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Use high-quality olive oil for best flavor. Store at room temperature for 2 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat in oven for a crisp texture.
