Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this Five Cheese Baked Ziti. This dish combines tender ziti pasta with a luxurious blend of ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, provolone, and pecorino romano. Smothered in a rich, savory tomato sauce and baked to golden, molten perfection, it offers a sophisticated depth of flavor and a creamy, satisfying texture in every bite. It is a crowd-pleasing, restaurant-quality meal perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners alike.

Ingredients

Scale

16 oz Ziti Pasta
24 oz Marinara Sauce
15 oz Whole Milk Ricotta
2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, freshly shredded
0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
1 cup Provolone Cheese, shredded
0.5 cup Pecorino Romano, freshly grated

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the ziti until just before al dente.
Drain the pasta thoroughly.
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, half of the parmesan, and half of the pecorino.
Spread one cup of marinara sauce across the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Layer half of the cooked ziti, then dollop with the ricotta mixture.
Top with remaining marinara, shredded mozzarella, provolone, and remaining parmesan and pecorino.
Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Notes

For best results, grate your own cheese from blocks to ensure superior melting and flavor. If you find the bake too salty, you can substitute the pecorino romano with additional parmesan. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
