Slow cooker chicken thighs bathed in a homemade smoky-sweet-tangy BBQ sauce, yielding tender, juicy meat with minimal effort. Perfect for family dinners or weeknight meals.
Ingredients
Chicken thighs (skin-on, bone-in), 1.5 lbs
Brown sugar, 1/4 cup
Ketchup, 1/2 cup
Apple cider vinegar, 2 tbsp
Garlic powder, 1 tsp
Paprika, 1 tsp
Water, 1/2 cup
Instructions
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Place in slow cooker.
Combine brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, and water in a bowl.
Pour sauce over chicken in the slow cooker.
Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours.
If sauce is too thin, cook on HIGH for 30 minutes to thicken.
