Description

This classic Quiche Lorraine features a flaky buttery crust filled with a rich, creamy mixture of eggs, cream, bacon, and cheese. Perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 150g bacon
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prepare dough and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out and bake crust for 15 minutes.
  3. Cook bacon and sauté onion.
  4. Whisk eggs, cream, milk, and seasoning.
  5. Add bacon, onion, and cheese.
  6. Pour into crust and bake 30–35 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use cold butter for a flaky crust. Avoid overbaking to keep the filling creamy. Store in fridge for up to 3 days.
