Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C and line a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and mix well.
  4. Warm honey and add to mixture.
  5. Combine dry ingredients separately.
  6. Alternate adding dry ingredients and warm milk.
  7. Add vanilla extract and mix gently.
  8. Pour into pan and bake for 45–50 minutes.
  9. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Warm the honey slightly for better blending. Store covered at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Flavors deepen overnight, making it even better the next day.
