Description

This Chicken Tagine with Pine Nuts is a rich and aromatic dish featuring tender chicken simmered with warm spices, a touch of honey, and topped with toasted pine nuts. A comforting and flavorful meal perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 800g chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 250ml chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 40g pine nuts
  • Fresh parsley or coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown chicken in oil.
  2. Cook onion until soft.
  3. Add garlic.
  4. Stir in spices.
  5. Return chicken.
  6. Add broth and honey.
  7. Simmer 40 minutes.
  8. Toast pine nuts.
  9. Garnish and serve.

Notes

Toast pine nuts before adding. Add dried fruits for sweetness. Store leftovers in fridge for up to 3 days.
