Description

Experience a vibrant fusion of flavors with this Cajun Chicken Alfredo. Tender, spice-rubbed chicken breast is seared to perfection and tossed into a luxurious, velvety parmesan cream sauce. By marrying the bold, earthy heat of southern Cajun spices with the delicate, silky texture of a classic Italian Alfredo, this dish delivers a professional-grade dining experience that is both sophisticated and incredibly comforting. It is the perfect weeknight meal for those who desire a restaurant-quality finish without the heaviness of jarred sauces.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs Boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced
16 oz Fettuccine pasta
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (MSG-free)
2 cups Heavy cream (room temperature)
1.5 cups Freshly grated parmesan cheese
4 cloves Garlic, minced
3 tbsp Unsalted European-style butter

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente.
In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken with the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the chicken for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Slowly pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Whisk in the freshly grated parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and thickens to coat the back of a spoon.
Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce, tossing gently to coat thoroughly.
Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Use high-quality aged parmesan for the best emulsion and flavor. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it. Ensure the heavy cream is at room temperature before adding to the pan to prevent the sauce from breaking.
