Description
This Southern-style peach cobbler is a classic, crowd-pleasing dessert that combines juicy, cinnamon-spiced peaches with a tender, golden biscuit crust. Using baking mix makes this an incredibly simple and consistent recipe, perfect for home cooks looking to highlight the natural sweetness of fruit. Whether using fresh summer peaches or convenient canned ones, this warm, comforting dish is the ultimate treat when served with a scoop of vanilla dessert.
Ingredients
6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
1 cup granulated white sugar
1.5 cups Bisquick baking mix
1.5 cups whole milk or oat milk
0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of the sugar and the cinnamon.
Spread the peach mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
Pour the batter evenly over the peach layer.
Bake for 45 minutes until the top is deep golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving to allow the syrup to thicken.
Notes
If using canned peaches, drain them well before tossing with sugar and cinnamon. For the best flavor, choose ripe, seasonal peaches. This cobbler pairs perfectly with vanilla dairy or non-dairy frozen desserts.
