Lettuce, 4 fresh leaves

Mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons
Instructions
Combine ground beef, minced onion, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Shape meat into 4 evenly sized patties (slightly larger than buns).
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
Add cheese (optional) during last minute of cooking.
