Ingredients
4 chicken breast halves (about 1 lb total)
1/2 cup BBQ sauce (tomato-based, halal-approved)
8 small cornmeal or brioche buns
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
1 cup tomato slices
1/2 cup sliced red onion
Instructions
Pat dry chicken breasts and toss with 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
Marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature
Preheat grill/skillet to medium-high heat
Cook chicken 6-8 minutes per side, until 165°F
Let rest 5 minutes
