Description

This ultimate baked mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and topped with a golden crispy crust. Made with a blend of cheeses and baked to perfection, it’s the ultimate comfort food for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 400g macaroni pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Cook macaroni until al dente and drain.
  3. Melt butter in a pan and add flour to make a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in warm milk and cook until thickened.
  5. Add cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, stirring until melted.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and mustard.
  7. Mix pasta with cheese sauce.
  8. Transfer to baking dish.
  9. Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and sprinkle on top.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.

Notes

Grate your own cheese for the best texture. Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy. You can mix different cheeses for more flavor.
