This Strawberry Tart with Mascarpone features a buttery homemade crust filled with light, creamy mascarpone and topped with fresh glazed strawberries. It’s an elegant yet simple dessert perfect for spring gatherings, celebrations, or afternoon coffee.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2–3 tablespoons cold water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Zest of 1/2 lemon
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Rub in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add egg yolk and cold water. Form dough and chill 30 minutes.
- Roll dough, place in tart pan, chill again, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes. Cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream to soft peaks.
- Mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth. Fold in whipped cream.
- Spread filling into cooled crust.
- Arrange sliced strawberries on top.
- Warm jam with lemon juice and brush over strawberries.
- Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Use fully ripe strawberries for best sweetness. Keep mascarpone cold before mixing to maintain structure. Assemble the tart the same day for best freshness. Store refrigerated for up to 2 days.
