- 500 g ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 800 g crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- 12 lasagna sheets
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, and herbs. Simmer 20 minutes.
- Prepare béchamel with butter, flour, milk, and Parmesan.
- Layer meat sauce, pasta sheets, béchamel, and mozzarella.
- Repeat layers and finish with cheese.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) covered 25 minutes, uncovered 15–20 minutes.
- Let rest before slicing and serving.
Notes
Allow lasagna to rest before cutting for clean slices. Use freshly grated cheese for best texture. Freeze before baking for meal prep.
