Description

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 800 g crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 12 lasagna sheets
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, and herbs. Simmer 20 minutes.
  4. Prepare béchamel with butter, flour, milk, and Parmesan.
  5. Layer meat sauce, pasta sheets, béchamel, and mozzarella.
  6. Repeat layers and finish with cheese.
  7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) covered 25 minutes, uncovered 15–20 minutes.
  8. Let rest before slicing and serving.

Notes

Allow lasagna to rest before cutting for clean slices. Use freshly grated cheese for best texture. Freeze before baking for meal prep.
