Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Pour melted butter into a mixing bowl and whisk with granulated sugar and brown sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time while whisking until the mixture becomes glossy.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the batter.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 22–28 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains soft.
- Allow brownies to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra texture add chopped walnuts or pecans. Use high-quality cocoa powder for the richest chocolate flavor. Do not overbake to keep the brownies soft and fudgy. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
