- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
- 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil

- 1 cup (240ml) hot coffee
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
- 3 1/2 cups (440g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup (45g) cocoa powder (for frosting)
- 4 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
- Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
- Whisk in sugar.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.
- Slowly add hot coffee and stir until smooth.
- Divide batter evenly into pans.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
- Beat butter until creamy, add powdered sugar and cocoa, then cream and vanilla. Frost cake and serve.

Use room temperature ingredients for best texture. Hot coffee enhances the chocolate flavor without making the cake taste like coffee. Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
