Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mix melted butter and sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and stir well.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Sift cocoa powder into the mixture and stir.
  6. Add flour, salt, and baking powder and mix gently.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips or walnuts if desired.
  8. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are set.
  10. Allow brownies to cool slightly before cutting and serving.

Notes

Avoid overbaking to keep brownies soft and fudgy. You can add extra chocolate chips for richer flavor or swap walnuts for pecans. Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
