Description

This Pomegranate-Glazed Christmas Ribs recipe combines the savory goodness of tender ribs with a rich, sweet-tangy pomegranate glaze. The fresh rosemary and pomegranate seeds add festive flair, making this dish perfect for holiday dinners and gatherings. With easy-to-follow steps, you can impress your guests with this mouthwatering centerpiece.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs

  • 1 cup pomegranate juice

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 sprigs rosemary

  • Fresh pomegranate seeds (for garnish)

  • Fresh rosemary (for garnish)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ribs: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the ribs and rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Make the Glaze: In a saucepan, combine pomegranate juice, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Simmer over medium heat until the glaze thickens (about 10-15 minutes).

  • Bake the Ribs: Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for 2-2.5 hours, or until tender.

  • Glaze the Ribs: During the last 30 minutes of baking, brush the ribs with the pomegranate glaze every 10 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize.

  • Garnish and Serve: Once the ribs are cooked and glazed, garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and pomegranate seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the ribs in the pomegranate glaze overnight before cooking.

  • You can also grill the ribs for a few minutes after baking to achieve a smoky finish.

  • The glaze can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
