Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl beat softened butter with brown sugar and white sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  8. Scoop dough balls onto the prepared baking tray leaving space between each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  10. Let cookies cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Chilling the dough improves flavor and prevents spreading. Use dark chocolate chips for a richer taste. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
