Description

This Homemade Beef Lasagna is layered with rich slow-simmered beef sauce, creamy Parmesan béchamel, tender pasta sheets, and melted mozzarella. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 800g crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 912 lasagna sheets

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil. Add beef and cook until browned.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare béchamel by melting butter, whisking in flour, then slowly adding milk. Stir until thick. Add Parmesan.
  4. Layer meat sauce, lasagna sheets, béchamel, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
  5. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40–45 minutes. Rest before slicing.

Notes

Simmer the sauce slowly for best flavor. Let the lasagna rest 15–20 minutes before serving. Freeze up to 2 months if needed.
