This Homemade Beef Lasagna is layered with rich slow-simmered beef sauce, creamy Parmesan béchamel, tender pasta sheets, and melted mozzarella. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

- 500g ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 800g crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 9–12 lasagna sheets
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil. Add beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer 30 minutes.
- Prepare béchamel by melting butter, whisking in flour, then slowly adding milk. Stir until thick. Add Parmesan.
- Layer meat sauce, lasagna sheets, béchamel, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
- Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40–45 minutes. Rest before slicing.
Notes
Simmer the sauce slowly for best flavor. Let the lasagna rest 15–20 minutes before serving. Freeze up to 2 months if needed.
