- 300g elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Cook macaroni until al dente and drain.
- Melt butter in a pan and stir in flour.
- Gradually add milk while stirring until thickened.
- Add cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika and mix until smooth.
- Combine pasta with cheese sauce.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and sprinkle on top.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Notes
Use freshly grated cheese for best melting. Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy. You can prepare ahead and bake when ready.
