- 3 large cucumbers, sliced
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp plain yogurt (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and slice the cucumbers.
- Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 10 minutes, then drain excess water.
- Thinly slice the red onion and chop the dill.
- In a bowl, mix vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add yogurt if you prefer a creamy version and mix well.
- Combine cucumbers, onion, and dill in a bowl.
- Pour dressing over and toss gently.
- Chill for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use fresh dill for best flavor. For extra crunch, do not skip draining the cucumbers. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add yogurt for a creamy variation or skip for a lighter version.
