Description

Easy Cheesy Lasagna is a comforting layered pasta dish made with rich beef tomato sauce, creamy ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan. This homemade classic is perfect for family dinners and special gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 700 g tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 250 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion in olive oil, add garlic, then brown ground beef.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer 15–20 minutes.
  4. Mix ricotta, egg, and parsley in a bowl.
  5. Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan in a baking dish.
  6. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
  7. Bake covered at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 15–20 minutes until golden.
  8. Rest 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the lasagna rest before cutting for clean slices. Store leftovers in the refrigerator up to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months. Add spinach or mushrooms for variation.
