- 12 lasagna noodles
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 700 g tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Cook lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté onion in olive oil, add garlic, then brown ground beef.
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer 15–20 minutes.
- Mix ricotta, egg, and parsley in a bowl.
- Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan in a baking dish.
- Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
- Bake covered at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes, then uncovered for 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Rest 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Let the lasagna rest before cutting for clean slices. Store leftovers in the refrigerator up to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months. Add spinach or mushrooms for variation.
