Description

This Classic Cucumber Dill Salad is a refreshing and creamy side dish made with crisp cucumbers, fresh dill, and a tangy dressing. Perfect for summer meals, BBQs, or light lunches, it’s simple, quick, and full of fresh flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and thinly slice the cucumbers.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 10 minutes to release water.
  3. Drain and gently squeeze excess liquid.
  4. Add sliced red onion and chopped dill.
  5. In a bowl, mix sour cream, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour dressing over cucumbers and mix well.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh dill for best flavor. You can substitute Greek yogurt for a lighter version. Add garlic for extra taste or chill longer for deeper flavor. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
