- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (400 g) kidney beans, drained
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot and brown the ground beef.
- Add chopped onion and bell peppers; cook until softened.
- Stir in garlic, tomato paste, and spices; cook briefly.
- Add crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 30–40 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve warm.
Notes
Simmer longer for deeper flavor. Chili tastes even better the next day. Freeze for up to 3 months. Adjust spice level to your preference.
