Description

This Classic Baked Mac and Cheese is rich, creamy, and topped with a golden crispy crust. Made with a blend of cheeses and baked to perfection, it’s the ultimate comfort food for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 250g elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Boil macaroni until al dente.
  2. Melt butter and add flour.
  3. Slowly add milk and cream.
  4. Stir until thick.
  5. Add spices and cheese.
  6. Mix pasta with sauce.
  7. Transfer to baking dish.
  8. Add cheese and breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes.

Notes

Use a mix of cheeses for best flavor. Add milk when reheating to keep it creamy. Can be prepared ahead and baked later.
