Description

Cheesy Chicken Parmesan features crispy golden breaded chicken topped with rich marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. This comforting Italian-inspired classic makes the perfect family dinner with simple ingredients and bold flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts evenly.
  2. Coat chicken in flour.
  3. Dip into egg and milk mixture.
  4. Press into seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Fry in olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Place chicken in baking dish with marinara sauce.
  7. Top with mozzarella and extra Parmesan.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
  9. Garnish with basil and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake on a wire rack. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain texture. Serve with spaghetti or a fresh salad.
