- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar (optional topping)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin pan with liners.
- In a bowl whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl mix melted butter, eggs, milk, yogurt, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
- Fold in blueberries carefully.
- Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full with batter.
- Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle sugar if desired.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Allow muffins to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use fresh blueberries for best flavor. Toss blueberries in a little flour before adding to prevent sinking. Muffins can be frozen for up to 3 months.
