Description

The best baked mac and cheese with a creamy, rich cheese sauce and a crispy golden topping. Perfect comfort food for family dinners and cozy nights.


Ingredients

  • 250g elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni until al dente and drain.
  2. Melt butter in a pan and add flour to form a paste.
  3. Slowly whisk in warm milk until smooth.
  4. Add cream and cook until thickened.
  5. Stir in cheeses until melted.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  7. Mix pasta with sauce.
  8. Transfer to baking dish.
  9. Top with breadcrumbs and parmesan.
  10. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden.

Notes

Use a mix of cheeses for best flavor and texture. Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy. You can prepare ahead and bake when ready.
