- 250g elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Cook macaroni until al dente and drain.
- Melt butter in a pan and add flour to form a paste.
- Slowly whisk in warm milk until smooth.
- Add cream and cook until thickened.
- Stir in cheeses until melted.
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Mix pasta with sauce.
- Transfer to baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs and parmesan.
- Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Notes
Use a mix of cheeses for best flavor and texture. Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy. You can prepare ahead and bake when ready.
